Privacy Policy

Damany is a holiday frame board for iPhone. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short because the app keeps everything on your device.

No account, no server

Damany does not create an account for you and does not ask you to sign in. There is no Damany server that stores your lines, stops, photographs, captions or rendered sheets. Nothing you make in the app is uploaded to us.

What stays on your device

• The lines and stops you build, including place names and dates.
• Copies of the photographs you place into a frame opening, kept in the app's private folder.
• The crop window, marks, motion elements and caption text you set on a stop.
• The holiday sheets you render, stored as PNG files in the app's private folder.
• Your foil balance and the purchase records used to keep that balance correct.

Deleting the app removes this data from your phone. You can also use Delete Account inside the app at any time, which clears the stored lines, stops, photograph copies, marks, captions, rendered sheets, balance and purchase records.

Photographs and the camera

When you tap Take photo, Damany asks for camera access and uses it to photograph a holiday stop. When you tap Choose photo, Damany asks for photo library access and lets you pick one to four photographs for the current stop. Damany copies the chosen photographs into its own private folder and never modifies the originals in your library. When you tap Save image, Damany asks for add-to-library access and writes the finished holiday sheet into your Photos library.

Microphone and speech

When you tap Dictate caption, Damany asks for microphone access and uses the system speech recogniser to turn what you say into text. The recognised text is placed in the caption field and is only written to the stop after you confirm it. Damany does not keep an audio recording.

Notifications

After you tap Continue, Damany asks for notification permission. If you allow it, Damany can schedule a local reminder for a line that has a review date. Those reminders are created on your device. Damany does not register for remote push notifications and does not send you messages from a server. If you decline, everything else in the app still works.

Purchases

Foil packs are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and tells the app that a purchase was verified. Damany stores the transaction identifier on your device so the same purchase is never counted twice. We never see your name, your payment card or your billing address.

No tracking and no advertising

Damany does not use an advertising identifier, does not ask for tracking permission, and does not include advertising or analytics software from other companies. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell anything about you.

Children

Damany is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app keeps your work on your own device, we hold no personal information about any user.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
